Terminology

  1. Occupational medicine refers to the effects of work on health and, conversely, health on work. It encompasses the full range of workplace and environmental hazards and how these may cause an adverse impact on health. These hazards may be physical, biological, chemical or psychosocial.
  2. Because the vast majority of relationship abuse is committed by men against women in heterosexual relationships, this website sometimes contains the female gender pronoun when referring to the abused person. All the information on this site is relevant for male victims and for individuals in same-gender relationships.
  3. Our goal is to deliver medical excellence for the working world. As such, we continue to upgrade this site to support us to achieve these goals while supporting clients in the services we deliver.
