Remote Area Medical Support

OccuMED’s Remote Area Medical Support service assists clients based in remote locations, and predominantly within the resource sector. This highly tailored service includes:

• The setting up of on-site medical centres
• The application and custodianship of a Poisons Permit to enable the purchase and use of restricted medications on site
• The staffing of medical centres with paramedical and nursing personnel
• Provision of 24-hour, seven day a week medical coverage provided through our tele-medicine facility, which is staffed by our doctors and associated medical specialists
• Coordinated and streamlined transport, treatment, physical rehabilitation and early return to work programs for employees affected by a workplace injury.

OccuMED’s Redcliffe clinic is strategically located within five minutes of Perth Domestic Airport and we offer clients a direct transport service from the airport to our medical facility. Our Redcliffe site also has surgical treatment facilities where minor procedures can be performed.

To facilitate rapid referrals for acute workplace injuries, we have strategic partnerships with local orthopaedic, plastic and general surgeons and can provide admission to private hospitals.

Our extended partner-network can also provide rapid appointments for other specialists, including dermatologists.
