OccuMED's occupational rehabilitation programs aim to minimise disability and obtain optimal recovery for the worker's to return to work at full functional capacity.
In addition to gathering patient history and health examinations, elements such as psychosocial barriers to recovery are explored and documented and a clear plan is made for graduated return to work.
The work capacity assessment and plan for graduated return to work allows for clear, unequivocal and time contingent upgrading. Short and long term goals are clearly identified along with recommendations for and organizing further intervention.
OccuMED Service Levels
OccuMED understands the importance of timely communication with employers and other stakeholders (e.g. treating GP) on the nature and extent of injury and progress of the worker's rehabilitation. To assist OccuMED's specialist Occupational Physicians in their assessment and timely report, the OccuMED Referral Form is required to be fully completed and returned to OccuMED before the scheduled appointment.
OccuMED will issue reports and WorkCover certificates by email to the employer and other stakeholders to expedite flow of information. This is however contingent on the return of the fully completed OccuMED Referral Form with an email address provided for delivery and invoicing purposes.
